Charles Mingus: Live at Montreux
Charles Mingus was one of the all-time great jazz bass players but more than that, he was also an innovative composer and a leader with a clear vision of where he wanted his music to go. This concert is his first appearance at the Montreux Jazz Festival, joined by the players that worked with him on the landmark Changes One and Changes Two albums from which the set is primarily drawn.
