Oscar Peterson: Festival International de Jazz de Montreal
Oscar Peterson was a star whose fame transcended the jazz genre. His career lasted more than 60 years and he released several hundred albums, won seven Grammy Awards and was a member of the Order of Canada.
This concert took place on the closing night of the 2004 Montreal Jazz Festival. It was special for two reasons………...it was the 25th anniversary of the Festival….And Oscar came home to Montreal, to play many blues based songs and a sampling of both standards and originals to a sold out audience.
